Can I enroll a bot or scripted child?
Absolutely! Grimlocke Public School supports families using bots or proxy students. You can choose whether you want them to receive RP style interactions, homework summaries, or simply be part of the class roll. Each proxy student is asked to fill out a short personality questionnaire during enrollment, which helps us better understand how to support them, just like we would with avatar students. Parents can opt out of homework or choose to complete it together with their proxy student - the flexibility is yours!
What if a teacher can’t come to class?
We’ve planned ahead! If your child’s teacher can’t make it, we will: Assign a substitute teacher, Provide an alternate RP activity if needed (for instances like field trips or dance classes), Use our built-in classroom textbook so students can continue learning seamlessly. Our system is designed for continuity. Your student will never feel like class was wasted. In the event the class needs to be fully cancelled, all paying students will receive an extra day on their paid term.
Is Grimlocke Public School free?
Grimlocke Public School is completely free for Grimlocke residents. For non-residents, we charge a small tuition fee of $300L per month, which goes directly to the teachers. We believe in full transparency. Every linden is split among active teaching staff. This helps us show appreciation for their time, with no hidden admin cuts or fees. The owners of Grimlocke will not take a cut and will post the totals of tuition and payouts.
Why do you use two house teams instead of traditional sports or grade-based clubs?
Due to different time zones, busy schedules, and other commitments, we've simplified our system and brought back what worked best from our early days. Instead of limited one-time sports events, we use two all-ages house teams: The Bears and The Bad Axes, to promote school spirit year round through: Friendly team competitions, Debate tournaments, field trips, Showcases & writing prompts, Creative group challenges. This flexible system lets everyone participate, no matter their schedule or roleplay style.
Can parents or guardians be involved, even if their child is a bot?
Yes! We welcome all parents and guardians, regardless of whether their child is am avatar or proxy student. Our school has a casual PTA-style group where parents can: Help plan school events, Attend performances or showcases, Volunteer to help with field trips, Join in on family-oriented RP moments. We’re building a community, not just a classroom and all families are valued here
